London & Paris AW19 Styles

Despite a whirlwind of emotions from interning at London-based brand, Emilia Wickstead, to then attending London and Paris Fashion Week’s Autumn/Winter 2019 shows for the first time, I was still able to capture my looks- which surprisingly made an appearance on Gettyimages!

As a newcomer and outsider stepping into the fashion sphere, having photographers desperately calling you left, right and centre was overwhelming to say the least.

My unintentional tribute to Karl Lagerfeld

Neckerchief: Chanel
Hair clips:
Ebay

Many hours prior to reading on the sad yet expected passing of the legendary and aspirational designer, Karl Lagerfeld, I had unintentionally styled my look with a vintage, violet-blue Chanel neckerchief. In hope that it hadn’t blown away, I spent the day nervously patting my hair and relased sighs of relief whenever I felt the light fabric.

Mom jeans: Kiabi
Fringed sweater: Pimkie
Bag: Guess
Faux leather block heel boots: LavishLuxe

My endearing, fairy-like outfit continued with the addition of a flattering layered mesh tulle skirt thrown on top of a simple pair of light blue mom jeans. As they say, ‘beauty is pain’, and that certainly was the case for me as I strained to smile through the pain of my faux leather pointed-toe heeled boots. After seeing the outcome of my images, the suffering I endured made it worthwhile in the end.

I join the ‘Beige is the new Black’ moment in this season’s fashion trend

Turtleneck top: Primark
Beige co-ord: Zara
Trainers: Alexander Mcqueen

After a long battle of back-and-forth debates on neutral colours, beige has shifted from being the ‘boring’ hue to a sophisticated shade that has graced street styles across the international fashion scene. Noted as one of 2019’s top trend by British Vogue and Elle, my choice on wearing a matching beige monochrome skirt suit was not to hop on the long trend train, but simply because it is a shade that brings out my skin tone.

Black diamanté clutch bag: Depop

All attention was primarily on my black diamanté bucket clutch bag which I am certain that it left a few people blinded. And of course, you can never go wrong with a fresh pair of white sneakers to automatically uplift your look.

Monochrome

White Oversized Ruffle Sleeve Low Shoulder Shirt: PrettyLittleThing
Faux leather pants: Nastygal
Trainers: Alexander Mcqueen

I kept the black and white look running from head-to-toe, but what truly gave this the extra ‘oomph’ was the white, low shoulder shirt which featured a dangling bow. The ultimate simple yet bold and chic outfit for the city of ‘romance.’

Black and white spot bag featuring a pearled handle: Depop

Once again, I opted on an eye-catching bag to steal the show during Paris Fashion Week’s street style. The pearl handle is the extra touch that makes this petite-sized bag so striking and flattering. Even if it is impossible to fit my small notebook or even my phone, I have had a love affair with mini bags; and it is not due to end anytime soon.

As Summer is slowly approaching, that means that next season’s Fashion Week is just around the corner. I hope to be fortunate enough again to attend this yearly anticipated event and potentially even widen my destinations (to New York and Copenhagen.)

I hope that you enjoyed reading my post. Don’t hesitate to leave a comment and subscribe! Thank you.
