Favourite Designer Friday 05: Simon Porte Jacquemus

No one incorporates their inspirations as clear and with such originality, as Simon Porte Jacquemus does in his work. His Spring/Summer 2018 collection as an homage to his influencer, 'Pablo Picasso,' was already mind-blowing and more of what we expected from this young, serene and humbled gentleman. Creativity and integrity in all of his collections does not stop there for the rising French designer.   Sounds from the Oud, Mizmar and Bendir all originating from the Middle East,  filled the spacious venue. The choice of an earthly collection was a strong reflection of the colours of Morocco. Inspired by his

Favourite Designer Friday 04: Elie Saab

Notable for his stunning, glistening gowns that could blind us all, Lebanese designer, Elie Saab has begun something new and great in his recent collection favoured by many. Spring/Summer 2018 Haute Couture Collection Ready-To-Wear 2018/2019 Collection He swaps opulence and glamour for a sophisticated, dark romantic and rebellious look. His new collection is certainly refreshing. Elie Saaab has successfully shown the public how great he is when it comes to fabricating lavish, sparkly gowns, and he is now onto proving us his new look and taste in his brand. I would personally wear each and everyone of those Fall/Winter looks.

Favourite Designer Friday 03: Maria Grazia Chiuri

The first female creative director for Dior- Maria Grazia Chiuri. I have acknowledged how passionate the former creative director of Valentino is towards women and women's activism. As a proud feminist, she has used her platform through fashion to showcase her views on women's rights and its political issues. After studying at Istituto Europeo Di Design in Rome, a bright and life changing future (not only for herself but also for women) was guaranteed. Maria is the ideal lady to represent female empowerment. Taking over as the designer of the haute couture brand in July 2016, her Spring/Summer 2018/2019 collection

Favourite Designer Friday 02: Phillip Lim

After watching Aimee song’s Vlog : How Phillip Lim Became Successful - NYFW Day 6 which featured Phillip Lim, I felt that this week was the perfect moment to honour the Thai designer and his Fall/Winter 2018/2019 collection. Phillip’s line has always retained the woman who has a soft spot for street style, but also likes to look appealing and ravishing. Feeling cosy is what this brand aspires to achieve through every ensemble fabricated. Reminiscing the times of escaping and migrating to the US, Phillip (whose birth name is Pheng Lim) presented his Fall/Winter collection to the public in a personal WAY.

Favourite Designer Friday 01: Karl Lagerfeld

With the Haute couture spring|summer 2018 collection, it only makes sense to start off the first ‘favourite designer friday’ with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. You cannot get a more Parisian setting than at Chanel’s fashion show- a fancy French garden right underneath the Eiffel Tower with subtle pink and white roses. Reining as Chanel’s designer since 1983, Karl is filled with surprises - and most certainly Spring hued flowers for this year’s haute couture collection. This show was about paying homage to Chanel in a classic, chic and modern Karl manner. Chanel gave a precise description on Instagram, of this collections'
